Perth
Tour of Perth via Hop-on Hop-off bus, direct from the hotel ($80 for both of us - which seemed a bit expensive). First stop, Kings Park Botanical Gardens where we spent 2 hours getting acquainted with western Australian botany. Back on the bus and a tour of the whole of Kings Park, getting off at Barack St Jetty, Elizabeth Quay. Walked through the centre of town to Cultural Centre, Beaufort Street. A couple of hours spent wandering around the Cultural Centre - very interesting and engaging. Back on the bus to the hotel.
Jo reads by the swimming pool. Water too cold to swim, although it's sunny.
We walk to The Camfield (biggest pub in Australia - but remarkably empty). Jo has chicken wings and I have a pizza. After dinner a walk over the Matagarup Bridge and back. Met one of the zip-wire operators as he was finishing for the day. Very close to the Optus Stadium.
